1. General Contracting / Construction Management


At the very core of our business is our ability to provide clients with general contracting and construction management with years of experience ranging in all sizes and types of projects. Our project management staff includes all levels of supervision required to plan, execute, and complete any size project.

With over 25 full-time tradesmen on staff we self-perform all of the necessary carpentry, concrete, and finishing work. Silver City Builders has full capabilities to effectively manage each of the various trades, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors involved in all scopes of the project, under various contract services and formats that are dependent on the Owner's needs . Our clients have come to rely upon the strength of our people, and our overall talent in general contracting and construction management.

Silver City Builders can also provide project management services on either a lump sum or cost plus fee basis. As a project manager, we are engaged by the Owner as an extension of the Owner's staff to direct, coordinate, and/or monitor the A/E team, the contractor(s), the various regulatory agencies involved with a project, Owner's FF&E, and all other elements involved in getting a project from being a concept to an operated facility. Silver City Builders also performs other specialty construction and consulting services for Owners to ensure that all aspects of the project are fully considered and included in the evaluation of the primary goals of the project.



2. Pre-Construction Services


Our very first priority on every project is to clearly establish a strong foundation of communication and a solid relationship between owner, architect and builder. We believe that clear and open communication is a prerequisite for a successfully completed project. Continuously proactive planning and communication streamlines the process and ensures successful project completion.



Prior to providing construction phase services, Silver City Builders offers a full range of pre-construction services to our clients including:
  • Coordination with the various regulatory agencies with authority to affect project development and approval and assistance in the preparation, submittal and filing of all applications to these agencies.
  • Definition of required A/E services and the subsequent solicitation, negotiation, engagement, monitoring and coordination of these design consultants.
  • Project scheduling, including the scheduling of all design, pre-construction and owner activities.
  • Project budgeting at conceptual, schematic, and design development stages, including the budgeting of all non-construction project costs.
  • Evaluation of construction logistics and phasing and assistance in the definition of project general requirements for construction bid documents.
  • Value engineering and cost comparisons for alternate systems and materials.
  • Constructability review of design documents at all stages of design.
  • Identification of long lead material, equipment and owner furnished procurement items.
  • Identification and solicitation of pre-qualified bidders.
  • Preparation of all trade and supplier bid packages, solicitation and evaluation of all bids, and the negotiation and preparation of subsequent contracts and purchase orders.
  • Assistance with FF&E solicitation

3. Construction Services



A properly executed development strategy should appear nearly seamless. After stringent, calculated planning, we excel further by quickly executing our work in the field. Our project managers, superintendents, and engineers rise to the occasion to build high quality construction projects every time.


After we have planned your project with you, we will build it together by utilizing:
  • Highly skilled on-site project management and supervision dedicated to the successful completion of your project.
  • Highly skilled craftsman with formal skills training and education in their specific trades. We typically self perform demolition, rough carpentry and finish installations.
  • Constant review of the project's safety includes frequent reviews and safety audits by 3rd Party Safety Officer to ensure compliance with OSHA.
  • Constant field quality control through our on-site project staff.
  • Weekly coordination meetings with the Owner, architect, subcontractors and regulatory agencies.
  • Flexible scheduling. Project schedules are updated on a regular basis and reviewed with all project team members.
  • Detailed cost reporting systems.
  • Change order tracking for the Owner's review, with regular updates.
  • Detailed review of shop drawings, product samples and materials used in the project.
  • Continuous support to coordinate and process regulatory agency documentation, permits, inspections, and tests.
  • Coordination (as required) of owner's separate contractors and FF&E installation.

4. Post Construction Services

At the end of the day, our clients expect to enjoy a problem-free building. Our post-construction services group ensures that all contractual commitments have been met and outstanding issues resolved at project closeout. We assist in warrantee inspections and quality control monitoring. In addition, we prepare operations and maintenance manuals, train end-users, and respond to issues that may arise after occupancy.

Subsequent to occupying a building, Silver City Builders evaluates the process and the results during the construction process. Our Post Construction Department makes certain all projects are "closed-out" thoroughly and completely. We place a high value on customer satisfaction and have established the following procedures to ensure we perform to the highest standards of the industry and advocate the best interests of our client.
